CERTIFICATIONS & MEMBERSHIPS

How we care / Certifications & Memberships

With a focus on quality and a lower environmental impact as well as verified traceability and social factors, we define our preferred fibres and fabrics as ones that are certified recycled, organic, or responsibly sourced as verified by third-party standards. These materials are prioritised in our sourcing, a strategy we have worked with for many years.

As part of our Materials Strategy, we rely on voluntary standards and certifications as tools that guide our material sourcing to minimise impact on both people and planet. Samsøe Samsøe holds a certification or membership to the following standards:

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)

GOTS ensures that clothing is made with at least 70% organically grown clothing fibers. This means the clothing is produced without harmful synthetic pesticides, GMOs, or hazardous chemicals. Social policies protect workers employed in GOTS production.

GRS (Global Recycled Standard)

Products certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) contain recycled material that has been independently verified at each stage of the supply chain, from the recycler to the final product. In addition, certified organizations have met social, environmental, and chemical requirements.
