2020PS Curated Stories Ralph Rebecca

Based between Amsterdam and New York, Rebecca Laurey
and Ralph Felix know the importance of clothes that look
good and work on the go. Both inspiringly creative, we
got their take on the Pre-Spring 2020 collection in
the urban environment.

Rebecca, what would you be doing if you had not pursued a career as a content creator or influencer?

I actually have a background that’s completely different from what I do now. I studied in history and have a masters in American History, I interned at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I always thought I’d end up in diplomacy, but I guess not!

Ralph, what would you be doing?

I also did something completely different before I turned my music into a fulltime career, my background is in real estate.

Rebecca, how would you describe your style in three words?

Elevated, downtown, casual.

Ralph, how would you describe your style?

Effortless, Parisian, chic.

How would you describe Samsøe Samsøe in three words?

We think Samsøe Samsøe is the perfect mix of the above style statements. It’s for everyday use, casual, but elevated enough to wear through the night and for events.

Rebecca, who do you admire most and why?

My mum! It sounds corny but she truly is a power woman. Mum to 8 kids and working full-time, she’s the real lady-boss and always full of energy.

Ralph, who do you admire?

Barack Obama. He’s a connector and breaks through cultural and racial boundaries, plus he's one of the most charismatic people on this planet at the moment.

Rebecca, if you could have a conversation with any person in the world, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Jane Birkin. Possibly most stylish woman alive, a real icon.

Ralph, same question to you...

Picasso. Just wanna know what was going on in his brain.

What is the best advice you have been given?

Do what you love and love what you do.

What is your favourite decade style wise?

70s! No doubt!

Can you share a hidden gem of NYC?

Olive! It’s the cutest little coffee shop, around the corner from where we live. They have great coffee and the best cinnamon sticky buns. They do a great avo toast too. And Elizabeth Street Garden, a little oasis in the city madness.

How would you spend a day off in NYC?

Usually just strolling around, starting with a coffee at Olive. Some shopping and a nice lunch alfresco if the weather allows. Fave spots are in the West Village!
